Welcome to the Blog!

Welcome to the McCarl Coverlet Gallery Blog! We are a nonprofit cultural organization that collects, preserves, interprets, and disseminates the history of weaving and folk traditions in the Northeastern region of the United States. Located at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, we hold the largest collection of historic coverlets.

Here is a look into information the blog will provide:

  • Gallery updates on exhibitions and events
  • Posts on coverlet art and style
  • Posts on weavers and their work
  • Behind the scenes looks into the collection
